Changing Company

    We are currently in a contract with another company that we will be terminating on 4/1/20. Can I build a new site on my computer then upload that to a new host then provide a domain name at the time of transfer?

    Hi @nyim1, if you’ll be hosting here with our services, you’ll need our Business plan for direct FTP upload, but you can go ahead and create a new site directly on our servers.

    You can use a temporary domain name, then switch it over when you’re ready. And I’d recommend switching a few days early if you can, just in case.

    Also, if you domain is registered with that company, I’d recommend transferring it sooner than later so that process will be done. You won’t have to make the new site live until you’re ready.
