Changing custom domain nameservers

  • Unknown's avatar

I want to move to wordpress.org. I have purchased a domain through wordpress.com. In the domain management panel I have changed the nameservers and ip address to the hosting plan I purchased on godaddy.com. I made these changes over a week ago and when I visit foundmylight.com there is a “parked by wordpress.com” screen.

I have contacted godaddy and they said that the ip address is not pointing to them. The ip address I added to the A record is correct so I’m not sure what’s going on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Forgot to mention. The domain I’m having trouble with is http://foundmylight.com not foundmylight.wordpress.com.

    Hello there,

I’ve checked our records, and you’ve successfully updated the NameServers of your domain to:

    – ns19.domaincontrol.com
    – ns20.domaincontrol.com

May i ask you if those are the NameServers that GoDaddy requested you to set?. I’ve just ran a quick google search check, and found this:

    http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/664/setting-nameservers-for-your-domain-names

Is it possible that you’d need to set these nameservers?

    ns01.domaincontrol.com
    ns02.domaincontrol.com

    Thanks!
