changing dashboard address

  hello!
  so from the top:
  – I was originally babyandbronzer.wordpress.com
  – then I upgraded to premium and became babyandbronzer.com
  – then I purchased the domain blushandbronzer.com and changed everything over to that name

  My dashboard address is still under the original babyandbronzer.wordpress.com

  So, when I go to my dashboard and select ‘change blog/site address’ there is a box there to enter the new address but it automatically ends with ‘wordpress.com’, I bought the domain so it doesn’t end in wordpress.com, it’s just .com
  How do I make it so it’s just blushandbronzer.com? … Or is it irrelevant and will work anyways?

  Hi there. You really don’t have to worry about the babyandbronzer.wordpress.com address. No visitor to your site will ever see that address, as long as you have a custom domain active. The only address someone visiting your site will see, and the address indexed by search engines, is http://blushandbronzer.com/

  The address ending in “wordpress.com” will always exist, as that is where your blog is hosted on the WordPress.com servers. Delete that address, and you delete your blog. When you buy a custom domain it is merely laid over that address.

  While you can change the underlying WordPress.com address, I’m not sure if it’s possible if you already have a custom domain attached. I see someone has tagged this for staff, so if you do want to change that address, say, to match your custom domain (not necessary, but I can understand if you want to), just hang tight and wait for staff to respond.

  Since you have custom domains associated with your site, the underlying wordpress.com address is not as relevant, since only you will see this address when you’re administering your site.

  All visitors will see whatever domain you’ve set as your site’s Primary Domain:

  https://babyandbronzer.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains
