Changing date format on Twenty Twelve

  Hi, I would like to add the date in this format: month.day.year like so: 4.14.2013 slightly above, to the right of my post title like in http://www.sweetamandine.com/

  I’m using twenty twelve theme.

  Any codes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
