Changing date on blog posts

  Hi there, how do i change the date on the blog posts i write? It seems that a default date of 15th Sept 2016 publishes, but i never set this date and it is not the current/ correct date for my posts. thank you kinldy

  Hey there,

  To change the post date, go to the Posts option in the left toolbar > go to All Posts > hover over the post in question and select edit.

  Once you are in the post editor, look on the right side of the screen under the Publish section and find the published on date. Next to the date is an edit link.

  Hi @travellingforchange!

  I wanted to add to what @hlbecker described, which was where you can edit the date if you use the WP Admin editor.

  If you use the newer WordPress.com editor, you can click on My Site > Blog Posts, and then use the edit button that appears on the post you want to change the date for.

  You can then look on the left where it says “Published” – click on that, then click on the date that appears to open the calendar where you can set any date you like :)
