Changing date on footer
-
My home page automatically added a last publication date to the footer. I’d like to either remove this or replace it with the current date. How can I do that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The options are Site Identity, Colors and Backgrounds, Fonts, Header Image, Menus, CSS, Widgets, Home Page Settings, Portfolio and AMP. I assumed I would be able to do that on Homepage Settings but there’s nothing there that helps.

Could you clarify exactly where you’re seeing a “footer”. That site loads the blog page first. There is a “The journey begins” post that shows the date Feb 21st. Is that what you mean? You can change the date to todays but if you want it to always show the current date you’d have to change it every day. The date could probably be removed altogether if you had custom CSS and a Premium plan.
The idea of the blog/home page is to keep posting content there, which shows the date the content was posted along with the “leave a comment” link.
PS: If you don’t want a blog page as the first page seen you could change to a static page. -
I guess that’s the problem. Is there a way I can duplicate my “blog page” and use it as a static page, since I’m really not going to be doing blog posts? It doesn’t offer that as an option for a home page when I try and set up a static page.

I think I figured it out. Just made a new home page, trashed the blog page. Seems to be fine with no date.
