Changing Default Text in Radcliffe 2
-
I have two issues:
1. In the Radcliffe2 theme, the homepage settings still has the default text “welcome to your wordpress” site and corresponding image. There is no way for me to remove the default wording, even though I have looked through the tutorials and this forum. I’ve spent considerable time trying to remove the text. This is in the homepage settings tab.
2. Outside of the customizer, in my site pages there is a page called “blog posts” and it says “front page is showing your latest posts.” I cannot edit or remove this page either.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

@rnslavery do you still need help with this? I noticed the Welcome to your WordPress is gone. You don’t have a front page up though.
You could either add some blog posts and let those be your front page (it would be like the “News” tab in the demo here: https://wordpress.com/theme/radcliffe-2 ) or you can pick a specific message to keep on the front page.
Any preference?

Also, I’ve moved your thread to our regular support forums rather than the CSS forums. Cheers!

Hiya! Thanks so much for the help. Yes I still need help. I see what you’re saying – that the front page doesn’t have anything on it. I activated and have been modifying the Radcliffe 2 theme, and that’s where I am having the same issues. I will look at the demo to figure out how to keep a specific message on the front page.
Thank you for any help you can offer!

Here is the link I am attempting to modify.

Ah, looks good! Once you publish a post, that should go away. It’s just a placeholder since you don’t have any blog posts yet.

Good morning –
By default, your posts will display in reverse chronological order. There are a few options to work with though.
Take a look at these:
1. Sticky posts: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
2. Post Order: https://en.support.wordpress.com/show-your-posts-in-chronological-order/
