You will need to cancel the first domain mapping upgrade and then purchase another one.The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours. https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades so that window is not longer open.
Provided you are logged in under the exact same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades, and cancel auto renew as well. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
Then you can purchase a new domain mapping upgrade as you did before.

Staff need specifics:
- What is the domain URL that you want to replace?
- What is the URL of the underlying .wordpress.com blog that is being domain mapped from to the existing domain URL?
- Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog that is being domain mapped from now?
- Exactly which username account purchased that domain mapping upgrade?
- What is the domain URL that you want to replace the existing domain URL with?

Hey,
Quick question. If my current domain expires and I pay for a new one (not renew the former) through wordpress, does the URL for all my media links change to the new one or do I have to manually change them?
the domain is mannyopr.com

@joserojasphoto, I’d actually recommend adding a second mapping upgrade and making the new domain primary.
That way anyone who visits your old domain will be redirect to the new one. And any search engines that link to your old domain will automatically get a code that tells them to update links to the new domain. Leaving this overlap in place for several months can really help anyone who is trying to find your site.
You’ll just want to cancel renewal on the old domain so it won’t renew for another year.

Hi @supernovia, Thanks for the response. Just for further clarification if I change my domain from mannyopr.com (current) to example.com (after expiry) I won’t have to change my files link manually?
Thanks again! ☺
