changing domain

  Hi I added my self hosted wordpress site on a dev server and have now migated it to the live server. The problem is that the dev site is still the one listed in my account.

  the stage server was dev.domain.com and the new site is http://www.domain.com

  How can I get the wordpress app to see the new site?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi

  I would remove the dev site from your app and re-add it using the main domain name.

  If you launch your app and go to the My Sites panel, click on the dev site, scroll down to settings, you’ll find the option to remove the site.

  Then, go back to my sites, click the plus sign at the top, and add the information for your live site.

  If I remove this website from my sites WordPress.com account it won’t affect the jet pack plug-in that works on by individually hosted website correct?

  I just don’t want to disable the Jetpack plug-in as this is a key working component of my website.

  Don’t remove it from WordPress.com on the website, just from the Mobile App itself. That only removes access to your site from the app on that device.

  Hi there,

  If this is only for the mobile app, not the web view, please follow melindahelt’s suggestion to remove the site from the mobile app, and then add it back using the Add Self-hosted option.

  For the web view it does not matter if the staging URL is the one appearing in your sites list. Jetpack will still work correctly.

  But if you prefer to have the active URL showing in your sites list, you will need to disconnect and reconnect Jetpack. This can potentially cause problems, so please provide the staging URL of the site and the URL of the live site for me and wait for me to reply again before you reconnect.

  I just need to make a note of the staging site’s ID in our system so I’m able to fix things should reconnecting Jetpack cause any problems.
