Changing Domain from GoDaddy to WordPress

  Hello! I have a domain I purchased through GoDaddy, but I never have connected it to an actual designed website. I’ve looked into it, and I am ready to do it, but I am wondering if there is any more information I should know before I make the switch. Currently through WordPress I have a free account. Thank you!

  Hi there!

  A domain is just an address so, if you have a ready WordPress.com site, you can attach the domain to it by mapping it:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  It will not affect the content or design of your site in any way. Just bear in mind that to be able to use a custom domain, you’ll need one of our paid plans. You can read more about our plans here:
