Changing domain from wordpress to weebly….HELP!

  Hi! I’m having a really difficult time trying to transfer my domain name from wordpress to weebly…

  “Hello, I have purchased my domain http://www.scoutcoffeecompany.com from you. I have built my website on Weebly.com. I need you to point my domain to the following IP: 199.34.228.55

  This is done by changing my domain’s A-Records. I am not requesting that you transfer my domain, redirect my domain, or change my name servers. I want to remain with you as my domain registrar. For more detailed information, please see http://kb.weebly.com/domain-registrar.html.”

  Hi Kelly,

  I’d be happy to help you make these changes. However, your domain scoutcoffeecompany.com is currently pending transfer to a different domain registrar. As long as that transfer is pending (and if the transfer goes through), we can’t make any changes to the domain settings.

  Would you like to cancel your pending domain transfer and keep your domain registered here at WordPress.com?

  Thank you for getting back to me!

  I’d like to keep my domain transfer going, however, I’m worried because it’s taken about a week. Is that normal?

  Hi Kelly,

  Are you trying to transfer your domain to a different domain registrar and then use it with Weebly, or do you just want to use your domain with Weebly? (If you are trying to transfer the domain, can you let me know what domain registrar you are transferring it to?)

  Just to clarify, the instructions you have from Weebly say to keep your domain registered where it is (that is, don’t try to transfer it to Weebly) and just point the domain to your Weebly site. In that case, your domain will be registered here at WordPress.com, but when someone visits the domain they will see your Weebly site.

  If that’s the case, you can cancel your pending domain transfer and keep your domain here. Then, I can set up your domain so it points to Weebly for you.
