Changing domain name

    my domain is mistakenly set up at earthstreammediacom.wordpress.com But I want it earthstreammedia.com. How can I change it?

    It looks like this site is set up as earthstreammediacom.wordpress.com I want it earthstreammedia.com. How can I change this if it is wrong? I have not started to build the site yet.

    Hey there,

    If you have a Free WordPress.com account, you won’t be able to use a custom domain. If you have a paid account, you will be able to use a custom domain. Do you have a paid WordPress.com account?

    If you haven’t registered that domain yet, then you can head to the link below to sign up for a paid plan, and you will also get a free domain for one year!

    I did notice that your domain is registered at a third party registrar already though. So, you will need to purchase a paid plan and then follow the guide below to connect your domain from your current registrar to your new WordPress site:

    I got a paid account but when I go to set it up as earthstreammedia.com it says it is already mapped to a wordpress site. But when I look at my sites it is listed as earthstreammediacom.wordpress.

    So I cannot start a new domain even though it is spelled differently.

    Hi there!

    I checked on our end and found that the domain earthstreammedia.com is actually connected to a different WordPress.com site on a different WordPress.com account. You can’t connect it to earthstreammediacom.wordpress.com for this reason.

    Do you, or someone working with you, have a different WordPress.com account? I can’t share details about the other account for security reasons, but it seems the site name is similar to the domain, and perhaps more than one people in your organization are trying to set up the domain?
