changing domain name

  hello, I would like to change my domain name to another name. I see in the help there are ways to transfer blogs and move hosts, but I would just like to change a few letters in mine. The .org one still uses the old name I’d like to discard.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  As you can see at the following link, you can’t change a domain name unless it’s less than 48 hours old:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/all-about-domains/#i-misspelled-my-domain-can-i-edit-it

  What you can do is register the domain you do want, map it to that blog, and then – if you are really sure and ready – you can delete the old domain. OR, you can follow the steps above, but instead of deleting the old domain, just set the new domain you do want to the primary address, and leave the old one alone. You can let it expire when it’s time comes due in February.

  If you already have your domain set up and ready to go, you can do the same: map it to the blog, then set it to be the primary blog.

  If you have just recently registered a new domain – within 48 hours – you can follow the steps at the link above.
