Changing domain name

  I am trying to change the domain name to wicys.cs.colostate.edu or at least point to it. This is what the IT person at CSU said:

  OK, I’ve set up a CNAME record in DNS so that wicys.cs.colostate.edu points
  to wicyscsu.wordpress.com. Now you will need to somehow configure the
  site at wordpress to accept the new name. This would probably be done
  through the management page for the site at wordpress.

  Do you know how to do this?

  Correct account: Yes

  To do so you need a paid wordpress.com plan – https://wordpress.com/pricing/ – together with Domain Connection, https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

  Hi @kroskykb – I’d like to take a step back and see if we can get a better idea of what you’re trying to accomplish with this change.

  For example, are you building a site here on your WordPress.com account that needs to be displayed when someone enters the URL “wicys.cs.colostate.edu” into their web browser?
