changing domain name
-
I have bought a new domain name through GoDaddy called homegrownkate.com and would like to use it on my existing WordPress blog, which has the domain name kaleandkate.com. I went through the process of redirecting the domain name to WordPress, but have waited 72 hours and nothing has changed. I just spoke to GoDaddy and they say that I have conflicting A ‘somethings’ (sorry I can’t remember the term she used!) which show up on digwebinterface.com. Please can you advise me. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Kate,
I’m going to tag this for staff review. Members in the forum don’t have access to the back-end stuff like a records and DNS settings.
Once the changes have been made by staff, you’ll want to clear your cache and cookies to ensure you can see the changes. Here’s a great article on how to do that

Thank you. I have cleared my cache, but not the cookies, as the info says to do this only if there are specific problems with usernames and passwords?? Please let me know if I should still go ahead and clear cookies. Otherwise how long will it be before my blog is linked to homegrownkate.com? Thanks.

Hi there,
Just wondering if you got my email above? You replied so quickly to the first one, I’m surprised not to have heard from you sooner about this one.
Am keen to resolve this issue asap and GoDaddy led me to believe that it was a problem in the WordPress system. Thanks. -
My apologies, I work full time and post when I’m able. There is no need to clear cache or cookies until a member of the staff helps you resolve the issue.

This was not tagged for staff attention. The word “staff” does not get looked at in tags.
Did you purchase domain mapping for that particular domain? It won’t work until you do. And you need to change the nameservers at Godaddy to point to your WP.com blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

Nameservers Validated!
Congratulations! The nameservers appear to be set up correctly for homegrownkate.com.
