Changing domain name servers

    I purchased my domain name, twopurplecouches.com, through wordpress.com. Now I want to host the blog on GoDaddy, but don’t want to transfer the domain name to GoDaddy at this time. I followed the instructions for changing name servers and for the past 36 hours, the URL is showing a parked page now. (Name servers are set to NS75.DOMAINCONTROL.COM and NS76.DOMAINCONTROL.COM.) My expectation would be that the URL would either point to the old site or the new site, but never a parked site. Also, I know it says it can take up to 48 hours, but several forum posts I’ve read said it only took a few hours. Did I do something wrong?
