Changing domain names

    I bought a domain through google domains.

    I wanted to change the web address of the web pages to the domain that I bought.

    So I went to the WP admin and changed the wordpress address and site address from xxx.xxx.mybluehost.me to my purchased domain name

    Now I cannot access or create the website through either wordpress, bluehost or google domains

    Please help.

    Hi there!

    You’ve posted to the free support forums for websites hosted here at WordPress.com. Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

    If you changed your URL in your site’s wp-admin without first configuring the domain at your hosting provider, you would have broken access to your site as it’s trying to use a domain that isn’t configured to operate on the new domain name.

    You should reach out to your host for help with this issue. Since they’re hosting your site’s files, they also have access to those files and are the best ones to help you fix this problem and help you configure your new domain properly.
