Changing domain names

  I own two domain names: A primary and a secondary that points to it. I’d like to make the secondary the primary domain name in WordPress so that I can retire the current primary domain at the end of this year. When I tried to retire it this past year (2021), my website malfunctioned because the secondary domain name had not first been installed as the primary domain for my site in the WordPress code. Please advise.

  Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider.

  Please contact support at Bluehost.com, where you’re hosting your site, directly for help with this. You should be able to make this change in your hosting control panel with them.
