Changing Domain Names on a WP Blog

  I recently obtained a new domain name. I wanted to change the domain name on my existing WP blog. When I went into settings ad changed the domain name in the two places, it removed my dashboard, and now routes to Blue Hos web site. I read some of the forum questions about similar issues, but did not understand the instructions. can someone help me understand how to get my site back up and running?

  Can you be more specific about the URLs in question? That would help with troubleshooting.
