Hello everyone, I’m changing my domain provider but I already paid 12$ for the domain mapping. I’m getting the same domain but I don’t want to pay the mapiing money again, what should I do? Is there a way to solve this? THANKS!

Hi. Your site will still be hosted by WordPress.com and your domain name stays the same? Then you’ll still be required to pay the annual domain mapping fee to WordPress.com AND, separately, the annual domain registration fee to your new domain name registrar upon renewal. Isn’t that how it’s always been for you?

Go to Store > Domain and check when your domain mapping upgrade expires. The date should stay the same regardless of who your new domain name registrar is.

Your question is unclear (What “stays until the expiration date”?)
In a nutshell: there should be no change to the expiry date of either your domain name registration or your domain mapping upgrades. You’ll need to pay for each of them again when they come up for renewal.
At this point, if you have any further billing questions, you should contact WordPress.com if it’s about your domain mapping fees ( http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ ) or your domain name registrar if it’s about your domain registration fees.
