Changing email…

    I have changed my email in settings and gotten my confirmation, I am wanting to change the email in personal settings to be the same as the one in settings but it won’t let me. I don’t want to have to check two email accounts. Is there a way around this?

    There is no way around this. It’s the only way that WordPress.com can use to confirm it’s you and not someone else changing the email address. Sometimes there is a delay in receipt. Have you checked your email client spam filter? Have you also white listed WordPress.com in it?

    Also note that when we register a username here at WordPress.com the email address we use becomes our unique identifier. When we are logged in under that username then every blog we register will be assigned to that username. http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/

    If you do not receive the confirmation email soon your will have to contact Staff. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ and at the bottom there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

    I’ve received the confirmation for one, but in personal settings it says, sorry that email is already in use and won’t let me switch it. I do have a few other blogs that I am not using and have checked them and they’re not using the email I want to use.
