Changing email

Hi,
I want to change my account email from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff). When I try to save the account settings, it tells me the email is already being used.
However I know for sure that it is not being used, as yesterday I deleted the account associated with that email address.
Please can you help?

Hi there!
The email address is blocked for 30 days after closing an account. This way, we can still recover an account if it was closed by mistake.
That said, it’s best to reply to the email you received after closing the account and ask for it to be restored. Then, change your address on that account to a throw-away one to liberate the address you want to use.
After this is done, you can safely close the old account.I hope that helps :)
