Changing Email

  I discovered I have an old site listed under the email address that I want to use, so I deleted that account but now it’s still telling me the email is in use when I tried to change my new account to it. Can you please release (email visible only to moderators and staff) from the deleted account so I can use it with my @deftpress account?

  I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

  Hey there! When you delete the account, it’s kinda frozen in limbo for a bit. Here’s what I’d recommend:

  – Reply to the closure email asking to have the account re-opened
  – Change the email address. Check its inbox to confirm

  That way the address will be freed up, and you can delete the account again. Cheers!
