changing email

  I’m dropping my internet provider (wowway.com) and want to change my WordPress account to reflect only my gmail email address. When I do, it tells me that email is already in use. I’ve used that gmail address for personal stuff for years, so I know nobody else should be using it on WordPress. Please help.

  Hi there,

  I’ve checked your Gmail address and found that it is already associated with another WordPress.com account. To use that email address with your current account, you will first need to access that other account by using the password reset tool: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  Once you have accessed that other account, you can change the email address to a different one. This will free up your Gmail address, and you will be able to use it with your current account.
