changing email address in my WordPress account

  I am trying to change the email address in my WordPress Account Settings. When I type in the new email address I want to use, I get a popup saying that address is already in use, and it will not let me change anything. I am not aware of another WordPress account using that email. How do I proceed?

  Hi there, can you let us know what email address you’re trying to use? If you’ll type it here it will be hidden from public view so only staff can see it. And we can use that to look for more information.
