Changing email adress for the account

    Hi!
    I have changed email adress for my wordpress account, because I want to “free” the one I had it registered on before. I think I have done all the right things. Received an confirmation email that said I have to click on it to confirm..it sent me to my wordpress account but then I did nothing. I have waited a week or so but it still havent freed up the other email adress..
    Appreciate the help I can get! Thanks!
