changing email associated with wordpress blog

  Hello,
  We are changing our wordpress blog administration and would like to be able to use our email address as the registered user. We had attempted to login using our email and thought we had changed the password, but we created a new wordpress account.
  Now that we have received the wordpress blog user name and password from the prior admin, we cannot make the change using our regular email unless we delete our account and wait 30 days. Any chance there is a short – cut?

  Hi,

  I was looking at the information provided by WordPress on their support forum and it looks like you will still need to wait for the 30 days before the new account is completely deleted from their servers.

  Here’s the link with the info at the bottom:

  Close Your Account

  After the 30 days, you can access the “Account Settings” section to update the email address. Here’s more info at:
