Changing email cant and its not used on another blog

What do I need to do Im shutting down the old email account and want to move it to my other one. it will not let me I have NOT used it on a blog so I dont know why this is happening. What do I do!!!!?????

Yes I did read that and I do not have a blog with the new email im trying to use.
The remedy is just as simple. You must log in to the account currently holding your desired e-mail address and change it to something else. This will allow you to free up the e-mail address that you want to use. Once the address is free to use, log in to your primary account and change the e-mail address in your user profile (what you were originally trying to do). Do not be shocked if it takes a little while for the address to completely free itself up.
It is NOT associate with another account I only have the one and never set up another one. So my question is if its NOT associated to another account and it still will not allow me to change it what do I do now.
I changed my gravitar email ove no problems but WP will not let me.

I’m sorry this has happened to you. I flagged this thread for Staff attention a couple of hours ago. What exactly do you mean by “it still will not allow me to change it?” Can you describe in step by step fashion what happens when you attempt to change the e-mail address in your Personal Settings please?

I scroll down delete out the old on and type in the new and hit save. It reverts back to the old one and gives an error code.
I went to get the error code and it worked I dont know why now but I wont look a gift horse and all. So whatever magic you did thank you very very much!

Hello again. We Volunteers answering forum questions don’t have backend access to blogs; only Staff have backend access and only they can apply technical fixes. So either you experienced a glitch earlier on which disappeared or Staff intervened and fixed this for you. Either way it’s good to know this issue is resloved. Happy blogging. :)
