Changing Emails but Original Email still linked to this account

    Hi, I changed the email address of this blog to something else – yet when I ‘login in Google,’ the original email still logs me into this blog. I want to make a new blog with the original email, and not have it associated with this blog – but I can’t, even though I changed the email of this blog to something else.

    Hi there,

    I can see the email address change around an hour before you posted here, and I can also see a new account was created with the old email at around the same time.

    However, you haven’t disconnected your Google account for the old email from this account. Go to https://wordpress.com/me/security/social-login and click the Disconnect button there, and then you can click the button again (which will now say Connect) to link your account to the new Google account.

    If you want to link the new WordPress.com account to Google as well, you can log in there and visit the same page to repeat the process on that account.
