Changing Font color for blog (site) title, headlines and body text

  I am using Twenty Ten for my theme. I also have upgraded to the custom CSS. I have tried several times to change our site title, headlines and body text fonts to different colors. I am getting nowhere! I want the title of our blog (girl scouts of central illinois) to be a green color – #009900. I want all the headlines of the current blog to be a blue color – #0033cc. And I want the body text to be black and not the grey color.

  I have tried several times to write the CSS for this and add it – but no luck. Any suggestions?
