Changing font size — Adelle theme

  Hi – I’d like to be able to change the font size in the photo/image captions as well as the footer.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi belindao919,

  Try this CSS and adjust as necessary.

  .wp-caption-text {
      font-size: 1.25rem;
  }
  
  #infinite-footer .blog-info a, #infinite-footer .blog-credits a {
      font-size: 2rem;
  }

  I have no idea because I have no idea what the font size is now, or what it would look like with various font sizes. If I have the code I can fill in the number to adjust as necessary.

  Hi, the caption worked perfectly, but the footer didn’t seem to work at all. I changed the font size to 1rem then to .75 (just to test it) and it all looked the same.

  If I change the font-size to any value, the size adjust accordingly. It may be that the .25 change isn’t a distinct enough change. Try 2rem and see if you see the change.

  I still didn’t see any change. I deleted the code and copied & pasted what you gave me again, and it still didn’t work (not that that should have made a difference). Just to make sure, the html for footers is footer, correct? obviously placed between the “<” &”>” (I know these message boxes use html and I don’t know how to not use it when asking this question.

  Ha! Are you asking about the footer on the home page? It shows up when you start scrolling. Or are you asking about the footer that appears on your about… page?

  I just checked, and I even changed from 2 to 1, which should be noticeable (?).
  I’m going in reverse this time. Here’s what’s in my “Customizing CSS” box:

  #infinite-footer .blog-info a, #infinite-footer .blog-credits a {
  font-size: 2rem;
  }

  I’m guessing I’m not giving it to you in the right format here, but I hope this helps.

  The #infinite-footer CSS only applies to the homepage footer. Single posts and pages have an entirely different footer.

  If you look at the each side of the black bar of the footer, you’ll see that the white space is no longer uniform.

  I would replace:

  footer {
      font-size: 1.25rem;
      font-style: italic
  }

  with this to get that footer display back on track.

  .site-footer a {
      font-size: 1.5rem;
      font-style: italic;
  }
