changing font size and color
-
Is it possible to change the font size and color of just a few words or segment of a blog post, but not the entire text? E.g., I just want to be able to highlight a segment and change the font color, but when I do that it seems to change the entire thing?? Please help!

Yes. Please see below.
Note: These are 3 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.
(1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor.

(3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support. http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#custom-fonts

Thank you. I guess my question is — is it possible to change just a small segment of text within a post, like a few words or even just a letter that I want to highlight?

If you do not delete that spam linked to a commercial site it will be an open invitation to spammers to hammer that post and the blog over and over again.
