    Hi @collardgreensprincess,

    I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

    I don’t know what you are referring as “body of blog text” but i assume you are referring post content. Please advise if i am wrong.

    If you want to change post content font size then you can do so by using the following CSS code.

    To use this code in the admin area of your site go to Appearance > Customize > CSS, delete all the informational text in that window, and paste in the following custom CSS code.

    To add Custom CSS you’ll need the Custom Design upgrade, which you can purchase in your dashboard under Store.

    div.post-content p {
        line-height: 25px;
    }
    div.post-content {
        font-size: 25px;
        line-height: 25px;
    }

    You can change the font size whatever you want to by changing the font-size value in the above code and the same value for line-height.

    Best Regards,

    Well, no.

    In order to change the size of font, etc, within the body of your content, you will have to hand-code it in HTML http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors/font-size-color/

    It is not necessary to have the Custom Design upgrade.

    Hi @collardgreensprincess,

    If you don’t have Custom Design upgrade or if you want to style specific small area of Individual Posts and Pages then you can do this using Visual Editor but it’s not recommended as html markup and post text gets mixed making it hard to manage / update and often deleting mistakenly any html markup tag breaks the page.

    In CMS( Content Management System ) like WordPress it is recommended to keep data and code separate as much as possible so i recommend you to use custom CSS solution wherever possible.

    Cheers,

    Hello Guys!

    Well I did purchase and have Custom Design upgrade. So, are you saying I do not need it to make post pages text size larger?

    Also, when I began this blog journey, I had no problem just inserting text from Word. Now it only pastes into my post as “plain text” which is too small. I would love it if I could just do what I had previously done, pasting text into the post from Word. How can I do this?

    Good day!

    Hi @collardgreensprincess,

    are you saying I do not need it to make post pages text size larger?

    We don’t say this, we are telling there are multiple ways to do this as described in the above previous replies.

    if I could just do what I had previously done, pasting text into the post from Word. How can I do this?

    Could please confirm you are pasting it in the Visual Editor mode?

    Regards,
    Vinod Dalvi

    Apologies for the confusion. You do need the upgrade if you would like to change text size all at once for a site. What raincoaster was describing is a way to change the font size just for post content if you want to do it manually for each post, one at a time. vinoddalvi is correct that it’s not a very efficient way of doing it if you want to change the font size for the entire site. :)

    Also, when I began this blog journey, I had no problem just inserting text from Word. Now it only pastes into my post as “plain text” which is too small. I would love it if I could just do what I had previously done, pasting text into the post from Word. How can I do this?

    How content is pasted from outside programs changed in the latest WordPress core software update. There is not a way to change that back. However, if we can get a good custom CSS solution in place for you, I wonder if you’ll even miss it at all. To give me a better idea of what kind of content you were pasting before, can you link to one of the past examples from one of your past posts when the paste used to work differently?

    Sorry, I don’t know how to “link” anything, but my guess is: you can just go to http://collardgreensprincess.wordpress.com And I’m further guessing that from there, you can just open any posts after September 2012 to see content pasted into the text from Word.

    I am a very very very basic blogger. I aspire to improve my blog,
    though : – ).

    To make a link, you can just put the entire link, starting with http:// like this:

    http://collardgreensprincess.wordpress.com/

    However, that is a link to your site, but I was hoping for an exact link to one of the posts where you pasted from Word. Is this one a good example?

    http://collardgreensprincess.wordpress.com/2012/07/29/first-things/

    The formatting looks pretty straightforward to me in that post, so I think pasting in plain text and making a few adjustments once the content is copied into WordPress.com shouldn’t be too much trouble. I know it used to work a little differently to paste in content in the past. That has changed and there is not a way to change it back! However, I can try to help suggest some things that will help going forward with the new way it works.

    Because you like writing in Word, you might actually really like a small program called Windows Live Writer. It is designed specifically to work with blogging (unlike Word, which is technically designed for printing and not for blogging), and I’ve heard from people in the past who like using Word that it works really well for them. Here is a link with some more information in case you’d like to try it out:
