Changing Font Sizes in Text blocks….

This used to be a very simple thing to do in the old version but your new souped up version has made it nigh on impossible (still have not figured out how to do it) – changing fonts & font sizes is about as bog standard a need as you can possibly want…you make bolding or italics very simple but not effing font selection or changing the size…why???????

  • Hi, you can change text sizes for a block using its settings, or use a heading if that’s what you intend to do. It sounds like you might be trying to go for something else, though, so could you send a link to a post that shows what you were doing before, and then a link to your new post or page you’re struggling with? We’d be happy to help.

Thanks — My partner who is a bit better @ WordPress than me showed me how to do it last night…Thanks for your help supernovia. Here is a link to the published post https://localfoodhound.wordpress.com/2020/10/23/wellington-with-a-mate/
The default font size was tiny but this size is fine…

  • Ah I’m glad you’ve got it. Twenty Eleven was a year when a few brave people were just starting to experiment with larger fonts, but at the time, tiny fonts were the style.

I know a few newer themes like Baskerville, Apostrophe, and Penscratch all have somewhat larger fonts by default. And the newer block themes have a learning curve, but even more control.

If you want to try and preview one of those, you can through My Site > Design > Themes. You might need to load more themes to see them.

    I hope this helps!
