changing font type in posts
-
Hi, I’ve asked a similiar question before, but I’m still a little unclear on the answer.
I would like my posts to appear in a different font. I’ve followed the instructions found in the forum at: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/06/12/can-i-change-my-font-font-size/
But, my font doesn’t change. I use the Ocean Mist theme.
Does the Ocean Mist theme not allow for font changes in posts? This doesn’t make sense to me, so I thought I would ask. Thanks!

Hi there, can you give us a link to your blog, please?
Also, are you applying these changes in the HTML editor?

http://rememberthepoor.wordpress.com
Yes, I am applying them in the html editor. Thanks :)
-
p.s. you won’t see the changes there now, because the html editor deletes them as soon as I press “save”.
-
Can you also post the exact code you’re trying to use, please?
Also, what happens when you try and save the example code in the FAQ? http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/06/12/can-i-change-my-font-font-size/

Then paste here, between backticks, an example of the exact code you’re trying to use. There’s probably something wrong with the code – Ocean Mist has nothing to do with the behavior of the post editor.

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><span style="color: #3366ff;">For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened; but by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack—that there may be equality. As it is written, “He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack.” 2 Corinthians 8:13-15 (NKJV)<strong> </strong></span></span></span>Well, I did get it to work by using the code above. I don’t know if it was the fact that I put all 3 commands separately (seems odd) or that if in the example in the forum, there is a space missing before the word “arial”.
In any event, it works now! Thank you for your help.

<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><span style="color: #3366ff;"> blah, blah, blah<strong> </strong></span></span></span> -
All these attributes are elements of “style” – you don’t need separate tags for them. If you want to change size AND font AND color, you write this:
<span style="font-size:DEFINE; font-family:DEFINE; color:#DEFINE">TEXT_HERE</span>
Where I’ve put “DEFINE”, you specify size (e.g. x-small, small, medium, etc., or 8px, 10px, etc.), font (e.g. arial, georgia, and so on), and a hex color number. In addition: “span” refers to any portion of a text (even a single word or phrase within a paragraph); the same code works with “p” instead of “span” (for a single complete paragraph) or “div” (for a large section or a complete post).

Can you change the font of the post title in a theme? Because this has been bugging me for a while!
-
@infliktora – please consider linking your blog http://infliktora.wordpress.com/ to your user name, as explained here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-to-make-your-name-link-to-your-blog?replies=54
You cannot change the font in the post title without the paid CSS upgrade.
