Changing fonts of text but not of Page headings (Bueno theme)
-
Hi all, when I change the font of the post text it automatically changes the font of the Page headings. Does anyone know how I can change only the text font and leave alone the font of Page headings? Thanks in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I tested this using the Bueno theme, and the page headings were not affected by a Body Text font change on the Appearance → Custom Design → Fonts page. Are you perhaps referring to page links in the top navigation? Can you provide and example link and point out the text that you’re trying to update?

Hi there, yes I am referring to the page links in the top navigation.
When I use Appearance → Custom Design → Fonts page to change the body text font, it seems to change the font of the page links in the top navigation. I’m hoping to leave the page link font as it is, as it matches the main top header, but change the font of blog post to improve readability.
By the way, the blog I’m working with is verityla.com
Thanks for your help so far.

Just wondering if anyone’s got some advice on this?
Cos I’m lost as to what to do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Can we get a link to the site you are talking about? The one linked to your username is wearing Tarski. I can work off the WP demo site, but it would be best if I could see your site.

Hi Sacredpath,
The site is http://verityla.com/
The issue I’m finding is that when I change the font of the post text, it also changes the font of the titles on the main header, not the main title of Verity La (that remains the same), but the ‘sub-titles’ beneath, which I’d like to keep as they are.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Cheers,
– Nigel

Add this to the bottom of your custom CSS. The !important property should keep the font for the navigation from changing when you change the other fonts..
#pagenav a { font-family: Impact,Helvetica,arial,sans-serif !important; } -

That’s happening because the base for the navigation is the body text. That means that whatever you select for the body text in the Bueno theme will also be used for the navigation font. It’s a common way themes are setup.
If you would like to target just the top navigation, you could try using a font stack instead. Here is an example:
#pagenav a { font-size: 20px; font-family: "Book Antiqua", Palatino, "Palatino Linotype", "Palatino LT STD", Georgia, serif; }To learn more about font stacks, see http://unitinteractive.com/blog/2008/06/26/better-css-font-stacks/

What you just posted will change the font-family for links inside the top navigation.
Then to change the post text font, use the Appearance → Custom Design → Fonts page if you can.
Is that what you meant?
