Changing footer
-
I’ve tried to override the CSS, and even re-write the HTML where the footer for the website says Blog at WordPress.. Bouquet Theme. The changes show before I click save, and then they disappear.
I’ve purchased the ability to customize the CSS, but it won’t let me. Am I doing something wrong?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Removing footer credit links creates the false impression that you created the theme and that you host your own blog, when that’s clearly not the case at all. It’s a ToS violation to remove the footer credit links.
Though changing the footer text is not allowed, it’s possible to add your own text to the footer area using CSS if you have purchased the Custom Design upgrade. In it you can incude styling credit if you have done any styling and/or a copyright.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/custom-fonts/If you purchase the upgrade you can use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can copy and paste your text into a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need.
Otherwise if all you want to include is a copyright many bloggers do that by including a copyright notice in a text widget.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/prevent-content-theft/#1-include-a-very-clear-copyright-notice-on-your-blogSome like myself link that text widget notice to a copyright page like this one http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/copyright/

Lastly if you post whatever additional text you wish to appear in the footer in a text widget and then post again to this thread those who help with CSS editing will assist you to position it using position absolute so it also appears in the footer area.

Hi there, as @timethief says, you can add text to the existing footer credits. You can try out the following by going to Appearance > Customize > CSS, delete all the informational text in that window, and paste in the following custom CSS.
#site-generator:before { content: "My added text."; display: block; color: #000; font-size: 110%; font-weight: bold; letter-spacing: 0.5px; }I’ve included some general styling declarations (color, size, weight) in the event you wish to change some of that. The last rule above makes the existing site footer a little lighter so that your added text stands out a little more. If you decide to change the color of the existing credits, keep in mind that they have to remain in place and readable. Give that a try and let us know if that works for you, or if you need some additional changes.

Thank you all for your help! The first comment about changing the text/violating TOS makes complete sense. The custom footer text works and I appreciate all of your help!
