Hi there!
WordPress is a personal publishing platform, or content management system that you can use to set up a blog on your website. It comes in two flavours – self-hosted version (available for download on WordPress.org) and the fully-hosted version which we use at WordPress.com.
Following documents will help you in choosing the version of WordPress-
WordPress.org- https://codex.wordpress.org/New_To_WordPress_-_Where_to_Start
WordPress.com – https://learn.wordpress.com/There is no way to simply import an HTML-based site regardless of the version of the WordPress version you want to use. So you have to copy-paste the content in posts and pages on your WordPress website.
We have a support document to do it on WordPress.com-
