changing from .com to .me

Am I supposed to tell people to go to my wordpress.com location? or just my location name then ‘.com’ Also what benefit is the ‘.me’ going to bring? I have been posting stories on facebook which bring people to my blog, but I’d like to tell them to access without having to go to fb or having to send them a link.
