Changing from .com to .org

  I’m starting my own website with a shop. I have a shop on Etsy, but I’d like 100% control.

  I recently purchased my domain throught WP.com. I bought hosting through hostgator.com and realized I should’ve started with the hosting.

  Is the only way to change my .com to .org through guided transfer? [$129]
