changing from .org to .com

Can anyone point me to a tutorial on how to transfer a blog from WordPress.org (hosted at Bluehost) to WordPress.com? It’s been running for a couple of years now and the database files are big. I’m fairly satisfied with Bluehost, but they simply don’t back up often enough and they don’t understand WordPress as well as I’d like.

On your existing blog -> Manage -> Export

When you click the button below WordPress will create an XML file for you to save to your computer.
This format, which we call WordPress eXtended RSS or WXR, will contain your posts, comments, custom fields, and categories.
Once you’ve saved the download file, you can use the Import function on another WordPress blog to import this blog.

P.S. I have no advice to offer on the size of the files. Perhaps others who have done this could chime in and help you with that.

There is a limit. Going the other way its 2mb. But do not ask me how to split a db. :) But it is now very easy to backup your own data. You can use one click backup plus wp-cron to do it automagically. How cool is that?
