Changing from private to public blog

How do I change from a private to public blog? Also suspect I have not do this because when I go to My Blog in the gravatar to view my blog my first blog is not there. Why is this? I may have two problems. Or there maybe unrelated problems.

By default the front page of your blog displays all posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of the blog appeared because the Admin of the blog deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/

Thanks. Your first msg says http://beyeglad.wordpress.com is a public blog. Which means I must have click the right buttons. I still am not sure why I couldn’t see it, but will work on that later…
The second msg beginning with “Not Found” I’m confused about. I’ve come back to my old blog thur gravatar that was deleted several months. I think Hello World was the name of my first entry from the deleted blog. In other words I’m not going to worry about it. It’s probably an obsolete issue.
