Changing gravatar

  Hi folks, I hope you can help. I’m having an issue with my gravatar. I’ve changed it, and deleted the old one, but whenever I link my blog to Facebook, the old gravatar appears. The old gravatar does not show up when I go in to change my settings, but it’s like this ghost hanging around. I don’t know how to fix this problem. I want the old gravatar permanently deleted. I’m especially frustrated because I am paying for the domain through wordpress. Please help me solve this issue.

  Hi there!

  Your older Gravatar was also added as your blog’s icon, which is why you’re still seeing it when shared to Facebook. To change this, head to Settings > General in WP Admin:

  https://shaesavoy.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php

  On the right-hand of the above page, you’ll see you’re able to add a new image underneath ‘Blog Picture / Icon.’ After you’ve uploaded your new image, ‘Save Changes’ and you should be all set. :)

  Hello again!
  I changed my gravatar (not my blog picture this time) but it’s not showing up! You can see the funny pink graphic icon next to my name above. On my actual wordpress page, if I hover the mouse over the icon, the real photo pops up. Why isn’t it displaying on the actual page?

  Hi Shae!

  I noticed your new Gravatar has been given a ‘PG’ rating. Gravatars with a rating other than ‘G’ will not display in many areas of WordPress.com. If you’d like, you can change the rating from within Gravatar.com. To do this, firstly head to My Gravatars:

  https://en.gravatar.com/emails/

  You’ll see a lineup of your Gravatars under the ‘Pick new image’ section of that page, with an icon to the bottom-left of each one that shows its rating e.g. ‘Rated PG,’ ‘Rated G,’ etc. Click on that icon, and you’ll be led to a page where you can change the rating.

  Is there a delay between resetting the rating and the photo appearing? It’s still not showing up.
