  Is there a way that you can “preview” a header without cropping and publishing? Want to see various photos and how they appear.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  There’s no means of doing that other than using the preview setting in the theme customizer. We Volunteers have test blogs and we set them up to be private and then we have at it. Maybe you’d like to do that too.
