changing header text on all pages
-
hi there!
i am using the “elegant grunge” theme and I recently went into CSS and changed the font size of my header text to 70px. this change shows up when I am on the home page, but not when I click into any of my indiviual posts.
i.e. when I click “continue reading” and am in the full post page, the change to the header isn’t showing up?
same thing with the post title color – I changed the color to #f028b6 and this is showing up on the home page but not in the individual post pages.does anyone know what I should be doing to ensure that the changes are visible on each page?
the weird thing is that I changed the color of the widget headers and these ARE appearing on all pages.
any help would be most appreciated! :)

oh wow, thank you so much! that worked perfectly! :)
two more questions for you, if you don’t mind:
1) in my header text, the bottom of the letter “y” in the word vinyl is getting cut off. it wasn’t like this when i first changed the text to 70px but now it is. to fix it, do i need to make the text smaller (i.e. 65 or 60px?) I’d like to keep it at 70px if possible – is there any way to shift the text up a little so the “y” doesn’t get cut off?
2) how do i change the title color on the different pages – i.e. the “about”, “book review criteria”, “book review final grades”, “contributors” pages? the titles (headers) are black now which i might just keep, but if I wanted to change the color in the future how would I go about it?
sorry for all the questions, thank you SO much for your help!! :)

You’re welcome.
1) I can’t really help, because I’m not seeing this in any of the three browsers I’m using. (Are you using Explorer perhaps?) I don’t know if nudging the text up will help, but anyway you can do it by changing this:
#header h1, #header h2 {font-size:70px;}
to this:
#header h1, #header h2 {font-size:70px;bottom:5px;}
(You can change the bottom number, of course.)2) Like the code for posts, with “page” instead of “entry”:
h1.page-title,h2.page-title {color:#f028b6;} -
ah, you are quite right! i’m at work and viewing it in Explorer, but when i go into Firefox it’s fine. Nevertheless I will try out your suggestion! :)
Thank you SO much for all of your help!!! :)
