    Hey,

I want to change the ‘home’ tab to ‘xzy’ tab. i.e. I am fine with the functionality of the home tab, except i do not want it to be named ‘home’. I’m using ‘Suits’ theme and am unable to do this. Help please!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors, who come to read your latest post, and who are not likely to be happy with being compelled to click through the same static page with the same blah, blah, blah on it every time they visit the blog looking for the latest post.

However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, and do know that static front pages are traffic killers, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. To do that create two pages with your own titles first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/

After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

    Set the Homepage

Thanks. However, I still need clarity on my issue. As mentioned I understand and I am happy with the functionality of this page. All I need to do is re name ‘home’ to ‘xyz’ and I am unable to do this.

You cannot edit a Home page and change the title because by default it is the page that all published posts appear on. It cannot be edited.

So please read what I said above and follow through to achieve what you want to achieve.
