Changing host and upgrading

Need to follow up from yesterday. I had wordpress take over hosting, as well as upgraded to Professional. Want to know if that has been accomplished, and if I can now cancel former host, dreamhost

Oh, when I was on a chat with wp yesterday I assumed that you would do this, not me. The process of doing it scares me. Can I have help with this. A chat with someone while it is going on? I am a VERY untechie 75-year-old woman.
Possible to have help with this tomorrow, Sunday? If not, I will have to wait until after 28th November, and I want to do it before then, if possible.
For example, when you say “server,” does this mean the platform (is wp a platform) that “hosts” a site? You see my ignorance.

I am going to bed now. But will be available all day tomorrow to do this with someone holding my hand, if possible.

@exopermaculture rest well. When you’re awake again:
– You will need a paid plan for each site: https://wordpress.com/plans
– A business plan grants you quite a bit of hand-holding via a screenshare for each site. But all paid plans get live chat support or email support.
– You would not likely get a screenshare on a Sunday unless you had a business plan and scheduled the on-boarding right away, but you could try that, or aim for the next available appointment that works for you. You’ll get details on that when you sign up for a business plan.

I had no idea I needed a paid plan for each site. That was not made clear to me when I chatted with the agent. And since the sites have not yet migrated to wordpress, and I had just upgraded on the dreamhost site prior to wordpress talking me into switching host to wordpress, and since I have already paid for the dreamhost upgrade, I’ve decided to cancel the switch from dreamhost to wordpress. I will reconsider this hosting option at the close of the new billing cycle. I will now go to the section of wordpress that received my invoice for $145, and hopefully, can cancel that cost. Thanks.

@exopermaculture I went to find your upgrades and your previous chat, and they aren’t under this account. Were you logged into another account when you made the purchases?
