Changing host but stats?
-
Hi,
I’m changing my host to an independent one from WP.com. So, I was wondering that when I back up my blog’s database, do the stats also get backed up? If not, is there a way? And, can you tell me the name of the stat plugin?
Thanks,
Navi

I don’t know what happens with the stats.
I do know what the plugin link is http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/ -
The stats are not exported with the file that you get from WordPress.com. You can install the plugin that timethief pointed out. It works like the stats on .com, but you will lose the stats that you currently have.

Why do we need a separate means of exporting stats when they are already included in the export file? Once you get the plugin activated you will have the stats. Also from here on out you will have to post to http://wordpress.ORG/sipport/ or assistance.

There are a lot of stat counters that will let you start the counter at an arbitrary number.

That’s what I recall doing with my personal blog using sitemeter when I moved it to self hosting.

And hey, can you tell me the digg plugin used by wordpress.com?
I don’t want to edit [digg=] from so many posts.

We have no idea about that back-end stuff. You’ll find that info over on WordPress.ORG instead.
