Changing how my posts appear on the page
-
When I initiated my blog a few days ago, I was given the option, somewhere in the process, of having posts appear in their entirety, or having only a few lines appear with the reader given the option of expanding it to see the rest if interested. I chose the former, and am now thinking I want to change it to the latter–but I can’t figure out where/how to do so. I’ve looked under “Options”, under “Manage-Presentation”, and everywhere else I could think of, but that choice has not appeared. Am I stuck with my initial choice, or is there a way to make this change–and if so, how?

I just visited your blog and all articles are displaying in their entirety. Unless you insert a <!–more–> tag in a post you will have the full article display.

The “more” button works like a charm, and is actually better than what I was originally looking for, since it leaves it up to me on each post how much I want to show. Thanks!
Eventually I’ll figure out what the rest of those buttons do. I’ve figured out some of them, but not all of them.

YAY! I’m glad the <!–more–> tag suited you. There is something else I’d like to mention too. <!–nextpage–> This is a wordpress tag similar to the <!–more–> tag, except that the codex says it can be used any number of times in a post and each will insert a “break” and paginate the post in that location.
Here’s a description of the icons and their meanings http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/15/what-do-all-the-icons-mean/
Happy blogging. :)
