Changing HTML code in Widget

  I am trying to copy and paste an HTML badge into a widget but it keeps changing the code. Why does this keep happening?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  What HTML badge are you trying to copy and paste?

  Some codes are not allowed on WordPress.com. Please see here for codes that are allowed:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/#html-tags

  It’s a HTML code for a badge of a blogger network. Other blogs seem to have it installed just fine!
